Director of Music Vivian Montgomery’s Music Notes are published in the weekly order of service and here at

Music Notes for October 20:

Finally, we get to hear our Children’s and Youth Choirs sing, for the first time this year! Children’s Choir will stay with us through the silence, but first regaling us with the Calypso “Turn The World Around” and Joanne Hamill’s touching partner song “Dreams of Harmony, with its profound message of acceptance and openness.  All our youth singers will join in leading us in our centering song, and the Youth Choir will stay with us for the remainder of the service, singing songs of commitment that align with our Share the Plate offering for Black Lives UU. Carrie Newcomer’s “If Not Now” borrows from Rabbi Hillel in expressing the pressing need to act, and “We Shall Be Known” has become an anthem for youth resistance and the pursuit of justice.
