White Nationalism and Antisemitism

How do antisemitism and racism interact with each other? We’ll address this question after watching a 20-minute segment of the videotaped panel “How Antisemitism Fuels White Nationalism.” Panelists include Eric K. Ward, author of Skin in the Game: How Antisemitism Animates White Nationalism and Sr. Fellow at the Southern Poverty Law Center; Pamela Nadell, Director of American University Jewish Studies Program; R. Derek Black, a former white nationalist; and Daryl Johnson, an intelligence analyst. RSVPs are helpful but not necessary at luaa.lexington@gmail.com. Understanding and Responding to Anti-Jewish Ideas: A Workshop for Allies Presented by Project She’ma

This 90-minute workshop with Project She’ma staff members Eli Cohn-Postell (in person) and Kiyomi Kowalski (on screen) is designed to “help others understand Jews’ stories, identities and lived experiences” and to “spot harmful rhetoric and be an ally to the Jewish community while honoring the dignity of all.” Project She’ma describes itself as follows: “We are a team with diverse identities who have invested our lives in uplifting vulnerable communities. [We] focus on depolarizing difficult conversations around anti-Jewish harm to strengthen allyship for and within the Jewish community.
