The Library Task Force is pleased to announce that the Eliza Cabot Follen Library is shelved and ready to go. This is the culmination of over a year of work to weed, purchase, process and organize a re-invigorated collection.
The goal of the library is to house a highly curated and useful collection of circulating books in service to the Action Teams at Follen.
The collection is non-fiction adult and teen. We also have a rotating collection of picture books for children that are for “in library use” only.
Browse our collection online or come visit in person.
Checking out a book is easy:
- Fill out a slip on our circulation shelf and put it in our circulation box. Circulation is kept confidential. Borrowing is 1 month; to renew contact library@follen.org
- Return books to the return shelf.
We welcome donations, but as this collection is planned to be selective, balanced in coverage and up-to-date, please send us a list of titles and publishing dates. We can let you know which items might be good additions to the library.
We also have a BOOK AMNESTY program: if you happen to have previously “borrowed” a Follen library book, please return it to our return shelf and we will integrate it back into the collection: no questions asked!
Please email us your suggestions: how do you think the Library can best serve Follen? Enjoy!
