This summer will look a little different from previous years. Usually, Follen hosts an assortment of guest and lay preachers in the Sanctuary all summer. However, this summer our Sanctuary is due to be fully painted — including the walls, ceilings, and pews! That means we can only host worship 2 times this summer: August 2 & 9.
On the other Sundays, June 21–September 6, we are joining a consortium of local churches that have been doing a summer worship share since 2021. We will partner with the First Parishes (all UU) of Bedford, Carlisle, Concord, Lexington, and Lincoln and have the opportunity to worship in each of their beautiful sanctuaries. On August 2 and 9, we will welcome them to ours!
We will share the whole summer schedule as we get closer. We hope you will join us in our summer journeys to worship with our neighbors!

Summer Service Carpool
To support our environmental goals, we have created sign-up sheets to support carpooling from Follen’s horseshoe driveway to the nearby churches participating in this summer’s worship share.
Each Sunday will be the same:
- Check the sign-up sheets beforehand.
- Assemble at Follen around 9:15 (summer services start at 10:00).
- Sort yourselves out (drivers can raise hands for passengers to join them).
- Return to Follen with your same driver.
