Summer Events

Along with Summer Worship Services, there are a few special summer events to enjoy! Check out the following events, and watch for a few more to be added as the summer goes on!

Paddle Outing on the Charles

Saturday June 25, 9am

Kick off the summer season with a scenic paddle on the Charles River in Newton (Nahanton Park location). This group outing is suitable for adults and supervised children. Enjoy calm paddling along a shoreline of forests and marshes with a variety of wildlife. Meet at the dock in Nahanton Park at 9am. Bring your own paddlecraft or rent boats by the hour from the Paddle Boston concession. https://paddleboston.com/rentals/our-locations/nahanton-park-newton/ Follenites Laurel Carpenter and Greg Shenstone will be your guides. RSVP (specify if you plan to rent a boat) by Tuesday, June 21 to Laurel or Greg.

Korean Dumpling Night

Thursday, August 11, 5:39pm

Whether you’re a novice or a chef, join Follenite Ann Tenhor for group cooking night. We’ll make Korean dumplings on August 11 from 5-6:30pm in the Follen Kitchen (next to the Community Center). There is a $10 fee to cover all the supplies, and you’ll leave with dumplings to share at home. Bring a container for all the goodies you make, and join the fun! This activity is open to children ages 8+ with parental supervision. Here is the LINK to sign-up.


Picnic in the Park

Thursday August 11, 4:30-6:30pm

Bring your snacks, chairs and picnic blankets for a Picnic in the Park in Adams Playground behind the Waldorf School near Follen. We will have outdoor games and a few surprises. More details to come!
