Are you a singer who longs to be part of a choir but can’t make the full-year commitment? Join us for our limited and intensive projects, including our upcoming Music Service on Sunday December 8. We’re singing glorious works in celebration of the season by Purcell, Buxtehude, and Charpentier, with an expert little band of period instrumentalists accompanying. Rehearsals start this Tuesday, October 29, 7:30-9pm, running every week until our dress rehearsal on Saturday, December 7 10am.-1pm. and the service itself the next day. If you can make it to 4 out of the 6 Tuesday rehearsals plus the dress rehearsal and service, you’re encouraged to join! Practice recordings will be made available to help you learn your parts, and the choir is always welcoming and supportive.
If you can’t make this one, consider singing with us for our wonderful Music Friendships Boston-area choral collaboration that’s part of the Melanie DeMore Vocal Activist residency in February/March (concert at Charles Street AME Church 3/28 & Music Service at Follen 3/29) or in Dvorak’s Mass as a celebration of Follen’s beautiful organ on April 26.
