At the intersection of race, sex, and other –isms is another pathway just as important as the rest: class. What do our understandings of wealth, poverty, privilege, and possibility teach us about who we are and how we live our values?
Rev. Claire will consider the life experiences that help us become class conscious—when we became aware of how money affects our relationships. Our music also speaks to the theme, with Lexi Ugelow and the Follen Band offering interpretations of Tracy Chapman’s “Talkin’ Bout a Revolution” and Pulp’s “Common People.” Our children’s and youth choirs will sing two May Erlewine songs as we look forward to next week’s Music Sunday featuring Erlewine herself.
