Follen’s Religious Education programs start this Sunday at 10:30. Please note:
- All classes run until 11:40am
- Parents of children in Nursery-Grade 2 must pick up their children.
- Children in other grades will be released unless parents request otherwise (to dre@follenorg)
Curricula and Locations
PreK-K: “We Are Many, We Are One” below Sanctuary
Grades 1/2: “Special Times” in Potter Room, below Sanctuary
Grades 3/4: “In Our Hands: a Peace and Social Justice Program” in Emerson/Alcott
Grades 5/6: “Popcorn Theology” in Marshman Center
Grades 7/8: “Neighboring Faiths” in Follen Library
Grade 8
Grade 8 students whose parents have provided permission (at the parent briefing for OWL, coming in a few weeks) will also be participating in Our Whole Lives, the values-based human sexuality curriculum (which meets on Thursday evenings). Middle School students will also have the opportunity to participate in a Middle School Youth Group – stay tuned for details.
High School
Students in grades 9-12 are invited to participate in Follen Unitarian Universalist Youth (otherwise known as “FUUY”), which regularly meets at 6:30pm on Sunday evenings. Tenth grade youth are invited to participate in Coming of Age, a yearlong exploration of faith, values, ethics and personal beliefs which will meet on Sunday evenings – stay tuned for details. Students can connect via the Follen FUUY Facebook Group.
