RE Class Makes 15 Scarves To Warm Up Children in Need

On Sunday, November 27, Jody Gray-Linden, assisted by Mike Linden and Sheila O’Shaugnessy as well as two middle school youth, led 17 Follen children in a One Room Schoolhouse program in which they explored the UU First Principle (Respect and Dignity or, in children’s language, “Each Person is Important.”)

After sharing a story the children made Polar Fleece no-sew scarves, in both children’s and adult sizes, which will be donated to Middlesex County Human Services, for distribution to those who can most use them.

The children enjoyed this project and felt great, with the approach of colder weather, about helping others!  Many thanks to Jody and her assistants for helping Follen serve the wider community!
