The Community & Hospitality Action Team (CHAT) is excited to bring back a Follen favorite – Octagon Dinners! These small group meals were a staple of the Follen church year before the pandemic, and we are very happy to offer them again in a new way. Previously, several dinners were hosted over two selected weekends, and in this new model we want to inject flexibility because we know that folx are busy these days with many competing priorities.

Here is how it will work this year:

• First, we will put out a request for hosts. (See Follen for You for details and the link.)
• Once we have a group of people wanting to host, we will follow up with them to select a day/time and main dish for their dinner.
• Next, we will share out all the dates, times, and main dishes for all the Octagon Dinners.
• Then Follenites will be able to sign up for the dinner they want to attend that works with their schedule. Once a dinner is full, the group will receive an introductory email so guests can plan side dishes, drinks, and desserts to bring to round out your Octagon Dinner.
• Lastly, your dinner party will come together for food and fellowship!
