Looking ahead to next Saturday’s Boston Pride celebration, the adult choir is singing songs of inclusion and love.

“Crowded Table” by The Highwomen advocates for a welcoming space for everyone. The song promotes the idea of supportive community, where the human family can bring our whole selves and — through acceptance — emerge stronger.

“Pride (Name of Love)” by Irish rock legends U2, was written in 1984 honor of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King. For the past 11 years, Bono has at a times added an additional dimension, holding the song up also in support of gay marriage as a constitutional right, looking to past tragedies and saying, “This is a moment to talk about peace and love.”
