Once again Follen will participate in the Louis D Brown (LDB) Institute’s Annual Mother’s Day Walk for Peace.
This is a pledge walk that benefits the difficult and courageous work LDB does all year long. The walk is held on the morning of Mother’s Day.
We will provide bus transportation leaving from Lexington High School at 8:45am to ride to the Madison Park High School mid-way starting point then leaving City Hall Plaza at 11:30 or so to arrive back in Lexington by noon. Please use the bus sign-up page below to reserve your space on the bus. One person can sign up for the whole family.
We will be joined this year by some walkers from First Parish Lexington. Also please be sure to register for the walk and make a donation at mothersdaywalk4peace.org. From the home page, click “Get Involved” on the menu bar at the top of the page. On the next screen do not click Register but scroll down to the List of Teams. On this page, again don’t click the register button but scroll down to Search Fundraisers, enter Follen in the Name box then click Search. When the Follen photo appears, click on the purple REGISTER TO WALK button. You can make a donation even if you are not planning to walk.
For more information and maps for the walk itself you can click on the ABOUT link from any page on the mothersdaywalk4peace.org web site. You can also make a donation even if you are not planning to walk. We can’t promise a sunny day but we can promise an opportunity to take part in a unique and inspiring event. If you have any questions, please contact Sally Cassells by email at email@example.com.
