Lord:

We head to the darker time of the year, where you have made the days shorter, and we have made them darken earlier. Help us stay light, with a spring coiled for the energy we will need soon.

We head to celebrations of abundance, let our gratitude, benevolence, and generosity guide our thoughts and behaviors, and those of our loved ones.

We leave a political cycle, and head towards a new one. Let our patience, fortitude, and love for our fellow humans guide us through the next one.
