Dear Spirit, we come together today in search of courage—
Courage to feel what we’re carrying: the ache of a hurting world, the weight of uncertainty, the tension between shadow and light, joy and anger.
Some of us cling to what we believe must happen next.
And yet here we find ourselves, again and again, in this sacred present moment. May we have the courage to fully meet it.
Help us, Spirit, find ourselves in the sacred pause between breath and action. In this murky in-between—this middle path of holding on and letting go—
grant us the courage to stop grasping, to stop fixing, and simply be with what is.
Grant us courage to soften.
To pause in stillness and open our hearts to You.
To remain present when we want to withdraw.
To keep our hearts open, even when they are tired.
To choose love when resentment feels easier.
To tend the flicker of hope when the world gusts against it.
To meet ourselves, just as we are.
Walk with us, Spirit, as we journey—neither consumed by fear nor detached from the world. May our Follen community here be a sanctuary of peace warriors: not fighting reality, but walking with it, transforming it with steady hearts and open hands.
Dear Spirit, walk with us in the dark, hands on hearts, eyes open to what’s possible. And when we falter, remind us: Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes it’s the quiet faith to meet this present moment and take just one more step.
Thank you. Amen.
