Landscaping Photos!

From Saturday June 27:

A hardy band of Follenites braved the heat and threat of thunderstorms last Saturday to plant shrubs around the Sanctuary and Community Center, and to spread a veritable mountain range of wood chips around the entire rear area of the parking lot to keep down weeds and over time to break down into soil. Follenite and practicing landscape architect Tom Ryan, aided by other landscape architects and gardeners from the congregation, developed and drew up planting plans for the rear of the Community Center, some areas along Barnes Place, between the Marshman Center and the Sanctuary, and in front of the Sanctuary. Meanwhile, across the street, Kim Vandiver, his tractor, and a crew of volunteers helped spread an enormous amount of wood chips. The rain held off, mostly, and a ton was achieved — huge thanks to all!
