Join Us for a New Holiday Pageant: “Christmas Tapestry”

This year, we’re excited to offer a new presentation for Follen’s annual Christmas Pageant.  We will be staging an adaptation of beloved children’s author Patricia Polacco’s story, “Christmas Tapestry,” scripted by Interim DRE Deb Weiner with music directed by Tyler Turner.

The story weaves together the Christmas and Hanukkah traditions (perfect for this year).  It includes a charming nativity tableau, lots of music, and some surprises as well. Come and help us bring “Christmas Tapestry” to life!

We need:

  • Actors (mostly youth, but also a few adults
  • A few artists who also can act
  • Quilters, to help make the Christmas Tapestry
  • Folks to make some props and set pieces
  • Stage crew (about 4 people)
  • A few folks to assemble costume pieces
  • And, of course, the members of the junior and youth choirs, to bring beautiful music to the play!

Are you interested??  Contact Deb Weiner, Interim Director of Religious Education (dre@follen.org) and let us know what you would like to do in the show, no later than December 1.

Auditions for speaking roles will be held on Monday, November 28 from 5 to 7pm in the Anne Smith Room.

Do you have a young child who would like to be part of the nativity tableau?  Contact Jody Gray-Linden at:  jgraylinden@gmail.com by December 1. Come join the team to create “Christmas Tapestry” at Follen!
