UUism offers a beloved community for our children and youth to grow and learn in our congregations. When a UU youth goes to college, they are greeted on campus by Evangelicals, Catholics, and other religious groups offering a spiritual home. Unitarian Universalism, though, has largely been absent on college campuses, even though we know that young adulthood is a critical time of spiritual growth and formation of lifelong commitments to faith communities. In the absence of a UU presence, more than 75% of young adults leave Unitarian Universalism and never come back.
Boston Area Campus Ministry is imagining something different and inviting you to help them build it. We’re building the largest campus ministry program in UUism, so that every UU student that comes to the Boston area will know that they have a spiritual home here.
UU students in Boston have been investing their leadership, time, and energy into their organizing. The hope is that the UU congregations of the Boston area will match their energy, by coming together to fund this ministry into the future.
