Feeling bummed that the Holiday festivities are over and looking for a little fun and excitement while also supporting a great cause? Well then have we got the event for you and your family. (Children ages 10+ will enjoy this Coffee House, and are heartily welcome to attend)
The Follen UU Youth (FUUY) are inviting you and your family to their annual Coffee House fundraiser to raise money for their April service learning trip to New Orleans! This year FUUY youth are helping to organize their trip and have selected the local Non-Profit Rebuilding Hope in New Orleans (RHINO) as their partner service organization to engage with service work that includes local construction projects as well as cultural speakers. The service learning trip is a great opportunity for youth to get outside their daily routine, extend their comfort zone, and put into practice the UU principle of social justice. The youth have chosen to return to New Orleans and continue the work of rebuilding post Katrina, yes, believe it or not there is still much service work to do in this iconic American city, and we cannot make this trip happen without support from community members like you.
Join FUUY for a chance to eat great food, sip delicious coffee/tea, and enjoy their many musical and acting talents while in the company of good friends and supporting a great cause! Tickets will be available for purchase in advance as well as at the door.
