In addition to joining the efforts of LexRAP and Follen’s Immigration and Sanctuary Group to help local Afghan, Venezuelan, and Haitian families acclimate to the United States, you can:
- Help immigrants get out of detention by donating bond money to the Beyond Bond and Legal Defense Fund.
- Become a bond sponsor with BIJAN (Boston Immigration Justice Accompaniment Network).
- Donate to the American CIvil Liberties Union, Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition, Democracy Forward, and other organizations taking the administration to court to ensure due process for all.
- Join Follenites who are members of LUCE (Immigrant Justice Network of Massachusetts) which seeks to keep our communities safe through grassroots organizing, information sharing, and mutual aid. Contact Toby S. for more.
- Join Follenites in a resistance group that meets monthly after church to determine ways in which we can support immigrants (distributing posters; writing and lobbying legislators, the governor, and other politicians; visibility standouts over highways; etc.) Contact Toby S.
- Sign up with Indivisible LAB and Lexington Alarm for more information about how to make your voice heard.
- There are (almost) daily standouts at the Burlington ICE office.
- On Fridays from 1:30 to 2:30, there is a standout at Hanscom Air Force Base to protest its use for ICE deportation flights.
