The fundamental assurances of due process and equal protection embodied in the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights apply to every person, regardless of immigration status. As Unitarian Universalists, we affirm the inherent worth and dignity of every person. The past 14 months have seen a steady erosion of these rights, and it is up to each and every one of us to call out these attacks on democracy in whatever ways we can.
