Krista from the Follen Library Team recommends three books on the topic of racism.

• White Fragility: Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism, by Robin DiAngelo and a forward by Michael Eric Dyson, is about white people’s reactions when they are challenged on their views about systemic racism. The author’s goal is to begin changing the racial paradigm and develop stamina to discuss topics dealing with race.
• So You Want to Talk About Race, by Ijeoma Oluo, gives readers an accessible take on racism in America. It addresses topics such as white supremacy, police brutality, microaggressions, and Black Lives Matter.
• Why Are All the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria: And Other Conversations About Race, by Beverly Daniel Tatum, is a classic book on the psychology of racism. The author described the importance of communicating across racial and ethnic divides.
