National Library Week
It’s National Library Week! From April 19 to 25, our country will celebrate the vital role libraries play in our communities and lives. What better way to participate — check out a book from the Follen Library!
Please fill out an orange circulation card for each borrowed book.
Mental Health
This month, Krista from the Follen Library Team recommends 4 books on the topic of mental health:
- In Maybe You Should Talk to Someone: A Therapist, HER Therapist, and Our Lives Revealed (2019), Lori Gottlieb takes us behind the scenes of the therapist’s world, sharing insights of wisdom and humor.
- This Day in Recovery (2021) is a collection of daily quotes, reflections, and questions for readers on their spiritual journey of recovery.
- 101 Ways to Conquer Teen Anxiety: Simple Tips, Techniques and Strategies for Overcoming Anxiety, Worry and Panic Attacks (2016) provides many different strategies and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to calm the body and keep thoughts from spiraling.
- Impossible People: A Completely Average Recovery Story (2023) is a graphic memoir that shows us that recovery is not always linear. This is a sincere and funny story of trying and failing and trying again.
