Sunday, November 6, 1:30–4:30 pm, Follen Community Center

In every part of the world, girls miss school or drop out because they don’t have access to reliable feminine hygiene products. Days for Girls(DfG), an international nonprofit organization working to change this, is holding an event at Follen to sew bags, shields, and pads and assemble DfG menstrual hygiene kits. Email Marita Hartshorn(once upon a time Follen’s administrator) if you have questions. If you can, bring a sewing machine with grey and pink threads, and scissors. If you can’t sew, don’t let that keep you away. There are lots of roles for non-sewers, too. Kindly RSVP to Bonnie Newman.
