The students of the Upper Middles RE class are coordinating a children’s book drive. Baby books, picture books, early readers, and chapter books for elementary and middle grades are welcome. New or gently used.

This service project is inspired by the longstanding efforts of Follenite Sarah Richards. As a pediatrician in Chelsea, MA, her office kept a collection of books available so that every child who passed through their doors could leave with a book of their own choosing for keeps. Support the service efforts of the grades 5–6 students and put a book in the hands of a child! Collection bin in foyer of the Community Center.

Parents are especially encouraged to talk with their kids about choosing from their own book collections for the enjoyment of others and the promotion of literacy.
