Registration for RE 2020-21
Children and youth must be registered in order to attend the religious education. Guests are welcome to visit up to three times before they are asked to register.
While there is a fee for registration, if any program cost presents a financial hardship to your family scholarships and waivers are available. We would never want an inability to pay to prevent your child’s participation. Requests for financial assistance should be made to Beryl Aschenberg, Director of Religious Education, and are held strictly confidential.
The new fee structure is set up with a base for all participants and modest additional fees for our special programs: FUUY, Coming of Age, and OWL. This reflects the additional time and, in some cases, intensive teacher training needed to keep these important programs up and running. (Children’s/Youth Choir fees offset the cost of snacks for those groups). Please reach out to the RE Action Team Chairs- Ann Bobo, Kerri Spilker, and Maureen Markelz- with any questions about the change in fees.
Follen Church offers a religious education program that teams trained, dedicated teachers and staff with parents and guardians of our children to promote faith exploration. Your help is needed. We strongly encourage each person to serve and support the religious education programs as they are able. Opportunities include: teachers and assistants and substitutes, youth mentors and group advisors, field trip and overnight chaperones, game and craft leaders, food donations, and more.
Volunteer by contacting Director of Religious Education Beryl Aschenberg at email@example.com.
