Capital Campaign Passes $2.4 Million,  Approaches $2.75 Million

Reaching Out for Final Pledges and 100% Participation

The Follen Capital Campaign is reaching out to gather the final pledges from the congregation by early November. “We are confident we will reach the goal, but we need every pledge to get there,” said Brad Howe, Capital Campaign Chair. “We’re aiming for 100 percent participation. If you haven’t made your pledge yet, please meet with your steward or turn in your form right away.” The Campaign hopes to raise the final $375,000 in the next few weeks in order to earn the $1 million challenge grant made by a member family. Capital Campaign’s Social Justice Pledge nears $90,000

The Capital Campaign Social Justice Pledge – a Capital Campaign version of Share the Plate – has raised nearly $90,000 to help the UU Urban Ministry with the renovation of the historic First Church in Roxbury. The Social Justice Pledge is a voluntary contribution that many Follenites have chosen to make above and beyond their donation to the Follen Capital Campaign itself. The UU Urban Ministry is very grateful for the addition to its $2.2 million capital campaign and has suggested to other member congregations that they institute a similar pledge in their capital campaigns.
