Easter Collections: Canned Food and Birthday Supplies!

Help Us with our Easter Sunday Day of Service!

Happy Spring from Religious Education!

We’d like to announce the RE Easter Day of Service on April 17.

Canned Food Drive

Children in the RE program will participate in a two-part day of service to benefit the Middlesex Human Service Agency. We are asking for donations of canned food which will be used for an Easter hunt, and then packaged for delivery to the MHSA food pantry in Waltham. Kids will have an opportunity to trade the cans they find for flowers to remind them of spring. You’ll find collection boxes for CANNED FOOD (only cans, please) in the entryway to the Community Center and in the vestibule on the Sanctuary side of the church from Sunday, March 20 – April 17.

Birthday in a Bag Collection

Our second activity will be assembling “Birthday Party in a Bag” kits. As restrictions ease and families are once again able to gather for celebrations, many families are feeling greater financial constraints. Our bags will include everything needed to create a delicious cake and party ware. This is a great way for our children to make connections with other children in the community. We appreciate your assistance in collecting the ingredients we will need. Please sign up to help with the food collection and/ or birthday bag project by completing the this form. Teen participation is welcome and can be used for school community service credit.
