Appreciating Hillary

As most of you know, our wonderful intern, Hillary Collins-Gilpatrick, has finished her two-year internship with us, and will begin as the Director on Lifespan Religious Education at Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Church in Bethesda, Maryland. But first, she is leading six services at Follen, from Sunday, June 26 through Sunday, July 31.

Hillary has touched many of us very deeply in her two years with us. From Follen, she received a gift of the laptop she has used for the past two years. However, a number of Follenites have indicated a desire to contribute to a cash gift for Hillary, which I know would be much appreciated.

If any of you wish to contribute, I will be collecting cash and checks (made payable to me, not Follen) until Friday, July 29, in order to present this gift to Hillary on her final Sunday with us. (If the money were given in the form of a check from Follen, it would be subject to taxes). My home address is: 31 Circle Road, Lexington, MA 02420

If it is easier, you could leave a contribution at Follen in the Worship and Music Action Team mailbox. Or, if you are away, you could email me the amount of your gift, I’ll add it to the total, and you can reimburse me when you are back home.

Thank you for being part of this community, and best wishes for the summer.
