Sanctuary
We offer our space for rental by individuals and groups for purposes that are in harmony with Follen Church’s values as a liberal, Unitarian Universalist religious institution, subject to availability.
We ask that you submit your request at least 4 weeks prior to your event date. If you have any questions about rentals, please email rentals@follen.org.
Follen Church Sanctuary Rental
Accommodates: 225 people
Fee: $396 for 3 hours (minimum time); $132 for each additional hour
The octagonal Sanctuary is located at the front of our campus and will seat up to 225. It has superb acoustics and is equipped with a Steinway concert grand piano and an 1868 vintage E. and G.G. Hook tracker pipe organ, considered one of New England’s best by the American Guild of Organists. Use of the organ is permitted by special arrangement.
Events in the Sanctuary must be in keeping with its historic purpose. The Sanctuary has been home to many of the region’s most distinguished musicians in concert and offers a lovely setting for weddings and memorial services.
Please note that officiants for weddings or memorial services should be a Unitarian Universalist minister or seminarian, or will require special approval from our parish minister.
Food and drink are not permitted in the Sanctuary.
Please note that for all rentals there are separate fees for staffing for facilities and A/V technician. We do offer discounts for one-time scheduling of three or more rentals during a fiscal year, as well as rentals that take place Monday–Friday.
Our building has an elevator and is fully accessible.
