A Letter from Rev. Claire

Dear Follen,

What a summer we have ahead!

We’ll be sending regular photo updates of the building project. We’ll post all the photos and updates here.

Two new staff members will start in August:

Beryl Aschenberg is our incoming Director of Faith Formation.

Andy Bean is our incoming Membership Director. Andy lives in Burlington MA. He has been a UU since college and an active participant in several UU congregations, including Meriden, CT and Ann Arbor, MI. His background is in community organizing for environmental and political causes. Andy impressed our hiring team with his thoughtfulness, warmth, and experience. We will have a photo and letter from Andy to share with you soon—we are so excited to have him on board!

We say goodbye to Deb Weiner and Rev. Susanne Intriligator on the official end of the church year on June 30. We wish them all the best as they journey on to new congregations!

Even though we can’t have summer worship services in our sanctuary because of the building project, we will have lots of opportunities to get together for fun, community-building, and spiritual development. Here is a list of the many ways to be a part of Follen in the summer!

I encourage you to join the Follen Members and Friends Facebook group. It is a great way to stay in touch, learn about events, discuss the major issues of the day, and engage with the community.

I will be on vacation and study leave June 26-July 31. I look forward to some rest and rejuvenation, and coming back fresh to greet our new employees and a new church year! Pastoral care emergencies can be directed towards Rev. Marie Tulin and the lay ministers at layministers.org.

In faith,

Rev. Claire
