Wednesday, March 22, 7:30pm, Follen Community Center

Although the United States has a crime rate that is lower than the international norm, our incarceration rate is six to 10 times higher than other countries around the world.  To learn more  about the problem of mass incarceration, come to a screening of the powerful Oscar-nominated documentary, “13th.”

The New York Times says, “[Director] Ms. DuVernay has delivered a stirring treatise on the prison industrial complex through a nexus of racism, capitalism, policies and politics. It sounds exhausting, but it’s electrifying.”

Sponsored by the Follen Responds to Racism team.
