The congregation voted last Sunday to give initial approval for the church to access the Heritage Fund for a $350,000 contingency reserve for the capital campaign construction. The vote (118 to 3, six abstaining) was the first of two required; a second vote will be at the annual meeting May 23. The motion authorizes use of $350,000, but requires Program Council approval for any actual withdrawals. Information sessions about the campaign and the construction will be held at the CCC table during Coffee Hour this Sunday and next. A discussion of the Heritage Fund issue will be held between services May 20.
