Activities and Events
The Follen community is active and diverse, with many opportunities for fun, service, and personal growth through the year.
East Village Fair – an annual fall festival, held with our friends at Waldorf School, Wilson Farm, and others.
Christmas Tree Lot – in December, Follenites set up and sell Christmas trees, honoring a tradition established by our founder, Charles Follen.
Cardigan Lodge Weekend – a winter getaway full of skiing, sledding, and reading by the fire at the Appalachian Mountain Club’s Cardigan Lodge in central New Hampshire.
Cape Cod Weekend – Follenites escape to the Cape (Cod) over Memorial Day weekend, to enjoy the seaside in a private camp with a wide choice of accomodations.
Gilbert and Sullivan Operetta – every June the Youth and Junior choirs stage a musical extravaganza to close out our church year.
Other Events and Activities
From a weekly knitting group, to our Follen Angels (get it?) baseball team, to informal group suppers, to book groups, art exhibits, a Jewish heritage discussion group, support groups for families with special needs and elders, and many more, Follen members organize dozens of activities for many interests, ages and stages of life.
Follen events and activities are open to all regardless of ability to pay: we want you to participate! Requests for financial assistance should be made to Sarah Garner, Church Administrator, and are strictly confidential.
