Caring For Each Other
Ministry at Follen Church is shared by the parish minister and the Pastoral Care Action Team.
The Pastoral Care Action Team (PCAT) provides caring support, both spiritual and practical, and opportunities for deeper connection and spiritual growth to all in the congregation, as we move together through the joys and challenges of life’s journey. In addition to developing and running programs throughout the year, PCAT also offers several on-going service and support groups:
Serving the Whole Congregation
Lay Ministry – lay ministers work with Rev. Claire to provide one-on-one, confidential pastoral care
Volunteer Services Network (VSN) – our network of mutual, practical support in times of need
Covenant Groups – confidential small groups, meeting monthly, which employ sacred listening practices to promote spiritual growth
Support Group for People with Elderly Parents – monthly support group for those who are dealing with the situations of elderly parents. Participation is open to members of the Follen community.
Living Well with a Chronic Condition – support group in which to share experiences, successes, and challenges of living with a chronic illness
Caregivers Support Group – monthly support group for those caring for a family member with serious health issues
Retirement Group – enjoy a monthly meal with others who are retired or planning retirement
